Farm visits - understand the grass roots of your meat

Farm Visits

Product knowledge

Knowing where your high-quality meat comes from is essential for many reasons, and working with a butcher like IMS of Smithfield can ensure that you’re getting the best possible product. Firstly, knowing the source of your meat can give you peace of mind that it’s ethically and sustainably produced, with a focus on animal welfare and environmental responsibility. It can also help you to support local farmers and small-scale producers who prioritize quality over quantity, resulting in a superior end product.

Additionally, by understanding the origins of your meat, you can be confident in its safety and traceability, which is increasingly important in today’s food industry. Overall, working with a butcher that prioritises transparency and quality can help you to make informed decisions about the meat you consume, supporting ethical and sustainable practices while enjoying delicious, high-quality products.

We are extremely proud to be associated with our producers and farms and strongly believe our clients should be too. It is paramount that our clients not only have confidence and peace of mind in the products and services we supply but also in those provided by our supply chain. This is why we offer regular farm visits for our clients.

We introduce you to the grassroots of our industry through our farm visits. Primarily the main objective of this day is to show our customers the full processing steps within our supply chain. We strongly believe that our customers should benefit from knowing all aspects of our products, how they are derived, reared, slaughtered, broken down and supplied. We therefore offer you the opportunity to visit our main farms and slaughter houses to see full product process steps from farm to fork.
